Within a relatively compact area, the island offers dramatic mountain ranges, fertile plains, historic villages, and a long coastline marked by beaches, cliffs, and secluded coves. Its identity is shaped by centuries of layered influences, from Roman and Moorish heritage to Catalan traditions that remain present in language, architecture, and cuisine.

The hotel features indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, tennis courts, and a strong focus on art and culture, with resident artists and a sculpture garden reflecting Deià’s creative heritage. Enjoy complimentary activities during your stay.

Menorca is the quieter, more understated sibling of Mallorca, known for its preserved landscapes, clear waters, and slower pace of life. Designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the island has protected its coastline and rural interior, resulting in unspoiled beaches, hidden coves, and traditional farming land crisscrossed by ancient stone walls. Its two main towns, Mahón and Ciutadella, reflect a layered history shaped by Talayotic, Moorish, and British influences, visible in their architecture and urban layout. Menorca appeals to travelers seeking nature, walking trails, simple local cuisine, and a sense of authenticity rooted in balance rather than spectacle.
Vestige Son Vell is a luxury boutique hotel set on a 180-hectare historic estate in the countryside of Menorca. Housed in a meticulously restored 18th-century manor and traditional agricultural buildings, the grounds are filled with Mediterranean gardens, citrus trees, and olive groves, and it sits just a short walk from the hidden cove of Cala Son Vell and close to the ancient Camí de Cavalls walking route. Independent Cycling to Cala Mesquida
Enjoy some of Mallorca’s most incredible cycling routes from your hotel. We recommend the following route for this morning: Predi Son Jaumell – Capdepera – Son Febrer – Na Maians – Artà – Verger – Torre des Matzoc – Cala Mitjana – Cala Torta – Cala Mesquida.
From the Son Jaumell area, cycle on rural and tarmac roads towards Capdepera, through Son Febrer and Na Maians to Artà. Cross the town heading towards the Ermita de Betlem and on its way up, and turn off to the right to Es Verger, passing by its houses and on a spectacular and enjoyable track downhill. Continue along the mountainous and coastal track, reaching the Torre des Matzoc and crossing the beach. There is a small steep climb on foot, shouldering your bike, before cycling towards Cala Mitjana and Cala Torta. A narrow trail takes you to Cala Mesquida, where you cross the long wooden bridge behind the beach.
Beach Hoping & Caves
You will have a driver at disposal for 5 hours to take you to nearby beaches and to the Caves of Arta. Departing from Predi Son Jaumell, the day unfolds along the wild northeast coast of Mallorca with beach hopping through some of the island’s most unspoiled calas, starting with an early swim at Cala Agulla, followed by the quieter shores of Cala Moltó and the dramatic, dune backed Cala Mesquida. Continue north to the rugged beauty of Cala Torta and Cala Mitjana, where turquoise waters and raw landscapes invite long swims and slow lunches by the sea. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Coves d’Artà, entering the vast sea caves carved into the cliffs above the Mediterranean for a striking contrast of scale and atmosphere. The day ends with a final stop at Cala Gat or Font de sa Cala for a relaxed sunset swim before returning inland, salty, sun warmed, and deeply connected to this untamed corner of Mallorca.
Note: The Cave entrance fees are not included.
