Meet your host
Sarah Casewit was born and raised in Morocco, and has lived on five continents, including almost ten years in Argentina and five in Spain. She speaks English, French, Arabic and Spanish. For more than 15 years she has designed private travel for clients around the world, and her work has been featured in Forbes, Vogue, The New York Times and Condé Nast Traveler.
Sarah created Eunoia Chapters out of her own experience of isolation and self doubt as a woman. Over the years she met many remarkable women who described the same loss of friendship and sisterhood, and Eunoia is her way of bringing them together. She hosts every retreat in person and designs each program around the destination and the chapter's theme.
Eunoia Chapters is a curated collection of intimate travel experiences for women in stunning destinations, where they come together for growth and bold conversations. Women of Eunoia build honest community through meaningful journeys, beautiful surroundings, and real engagement.
Twelve women
Each chapter is limited to 12 women coming from all over the world. Most guests travel solo, and some book with one or two friends. Every chapter so far has welcomed at least three returning guests alongside women who are new to Eunoia Chapters.
One theme
Each chapter has a theme that runs through its conversations and sessions. Chapter I explored fear and how women can embrace it at different stages of life. Chapter II looked at light and lightness as a strength during heavy times, and Chapter III was about reclaiming joy.
Contributions & workshops
Each guest leads a 30 minute session on a topic, skill or experience of her choice. At Chapter III in Marrakech, guests led sessions on Arabic writing, kokology, guided meditation and tuning into the body. These sessions give every woman a part in shaping the retreat.
Local voices
Where the destination allows, Sarah invites speakers, musicians and people working with local NGOs to meet the group. In Marrakech, guests had lunch at AMAL with its owner Nora Fitzgerald, Sarah's childhood friend, who shared the story of what she built in Morocco and the challenges she faced along the way.
Alcohol free, every day
Eunoia Chapters retreats are alcohol free from arrival to departure, including free time. Without a drink in hand, conversations go further and women find other ways to relax, from dancing to long dinners. Smoking is permitted away from the property.
Dress with intention
In warm destinations, guests are encouraged to dress elegantly, which simply means wearing what makes you feel beautiful and confident. In Sarah’s words, wear the dresses you never get to wear. In cold destinations like Norway and Scotland, comfort comes first and elegant dresses are saved for dinner.

Chapter IV is an expedition based on a remote island in the fjords of the Arctic Circle in Norway, 3 hours north of Tromsø with whale watching and husky sledding taught by Sami mushers. The theme centers on getting close to wild nature.

Chapter V is the first Eunoia reading retreat, held at a castle outside Edinburgh. The format is looser than other chapters, with time to read, nature walks and all meals included. We’ll have an archery session, and other Scottish experiences in the itinerary.

What is Eunoia Chapters? Eunoia Chapters is a series of small group retreats for women, hosted in person by travel designer Sarah Casewit. Each chapter brings twelve women to a different destination around a shared theme, with a program of culture, conversation and sessions led by the guests themselves.
What does Eunoia mean? Eunoia is Greek for beautiful thinking. Each retreat is a new chapter in the series.
How many women attend each retreat? Each chapter is limited to twelve women.
Can I come on my own? Yes. Most guests travel solo, and rooms are shared, so you share with another woman on the retreat. Some guests book together with one or two friends.
Can I book a private room? Private rooms are available in limited numbers and carry a 70% supplement on the shared room price.
What is the age range? Guests so far have been between 30 and 65.
How much does a Eunoia retreat cost? Prices range from $3,200 to $7,200 per person in a shared room, depending on the destination and the length of the chapter. All prices are in USD.
What is included? Every chapter includes accommodation, meals, hosting, transport during the retreat and selected activities. Flights are not included. Some optional extras are paid locally in cash.
How do I book? Reserve your place with a $1,000 deposit paid online. The balance is due 90 days before departure. After booking, you receive a confirmation email and a welcome form, and a month before the retreat you are added to the group's chat.
What happens if I need to cancel? Payments cannot be refunded if you cancel, including the deposit. If we cancel a chapter, for example because it does not reach the minimum number of guests, you receive a full refund of everything paid to us. Flights and other travel you book yourself are not covered, so we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
Do I need travel insurance? It is not required, but we strongly recommend it for every guest.
Why is the retreat alcohol free? Eunoia is alcohol free from arrival to departure because conversations go further without a drink in hand. Smoking is permitted away from the property.
What should I wear? In warm destinations, we encourage guests to dress elegantly, which means wearing whatever makes you feel beautiful and confident. In cold destinations like Norway and Scotland, comfort comes first and elegant dresses are saved for dinner.
Do I have to lead a session? Preferably yes. Every guest leads one 30 minute session on a subject of her choice, such as a skill, a practice or a story. Past sessions have covered Arabic writing, kokology, guided meditation and tuning into the body.
Is Eunoia a wellness or spiritual retreat? Eunoia is not a wellness retreat, and there are no crystals or manifestation rituals on the program. Some guests choose meditation or spiritual topics for their own sessions, and in Marrakech the program included visits to the shrines of the city's Seven Saints. The core of every chapter is culture and honest conversation between women.
Do I need to be fit? No particular fitness level is required for any chapter.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements? Yes. You share your dietary needs in the welcome form after booking, and we plan around them.
What if a chapter is sold out? Join the waitlist. When a chapter sells out, the waitlist is offered places on the next one, and past guests and the waitlist hear about new dates first.

Eunoia’s Terms & Conditions
Eunoia Chapters, a brand of Otherworldly Travel LLC, requires a non-refundable deposit to secure a spot, with the balance due 90 days prior to departure. If the minimum of 10 participants isn't met 45 days prior, the trip may be canceled, and participants will receive a full refund of payments made. However, external costs like airfare are not reimbursed, so comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended. All payments are non-refundable under any circumstance, including personal emergencies or travel disruptions. Participants are advised to disclose any medical conditions beforehand and acknowledge the inherent risks of travel, as the company isn't liable for any resulting damages or losses. Our goal is to create an enriching and transformative experience for every guest, and we appreciate your understanding in ensuring that the trip is viable for all involved.
