Every January, the internet produces its list of the world's “most beautiful” places. I read them the way I read horoscopes, with one eyebrow raised. Beauty is not a competition and it certainly isn't consensus. And yet. Here is my edit, built from years of designing journeys to places that have genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Take it as one well-traveled opinion, nothing more. If they move you, it’s because they are authentically and objectively beautiful.
Discover the best destinations to celebrate Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha in 2026. From Mecca and Istanbul to Morocco, Bosnia, Egypt, Qatar, and Dubai, explore spiritual journeys, luxury retreats, and cultural celebrations worldwide. Whether you are seeking sacred moments of reflection, vibrant city festivities, or restorative seaside escapes, these destinations offer meaningful ways to mark this special time of year.
Some places require more than a plane ticket. They require patience, curiosity, and a willingness to follow roads that narrow into dust. Here are 10 mosques around the world, tucked deep within mountain villages, hidden behind unmarked alleyways, or standing quietly in corners of the world where few travelers think to look. I’ve put together a list for your summer plans. This may either help or momentarily send you into a spiral, in which case you’re welcome to close this window, clear your caches, and email me instead so we can talk it through properly. But if you, like me, appreciate seeing your options laid out, consider this the holy grail of summer planning: what follows is a list of 50—yes, five zero—ideas for summer, designed to spark inspiration rather than demand an immediate answer.
Guatemala is not a country you rush through. It’s a place that asks you to slow your pace, sharpen your senses, and listen to the land, to its people, to histories that are still very much alive. This itinerary traces a thoughtful arc through three of Guatemala’s most soulful regions: the volcanic calm of Lake Atitlán, the colonial elegance of Antigua, and the deep jungle heart of the ancient Maya world near Tikal.
In a world where “luxury travel” is often synonymous with glossy brochures and cookie-cutter five-star itineraries, Sarah Casewit offers something refreshingly different: journeys designed not around amenities, but around meaning: a new path for discerning travelers who want more than just a change of scenery, they want transformation, connection, and stories to last a lifetime.
