EUNOIA CHAPTER III:
MARRAKECH RETREAT
14 - 18 October, 2026Do I need a Visa to travel to Morocco?
You are responsible for checking your visa requirements for Morocco. It depends on your nationality. Citizens of the EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Gulf states, and roughly 60 other countries can enter Morocco visa free for 90 days with just a valid passport, while travelers from countries without a bilateral visa waiver agreement must obtain a visa before traveling, since Morocco does not offer visa on arrival for most nationalities that require one. Whoever is traveling should confirm their specific nationality against the current exemption list before booking, since policies can change and getting it wrong can mean being turned back at the airport. Here’s a good tool to find out of your need a visa for your trip.
Where do I fly into?
Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) is ideal and is where we have your airport transfers included on the first and last day of the retreat. If you land in Casablanca, we can arrange a private transfer for $250.
What time should I arrive in Marrakech/at the riad?
The retreat officially begins at 6:00pm with an opening circle. Please try to arrive by 4:00pm allowing you time to settle in, stretch your legs and join the circle.
What time should my flight leave Marrakech on the last day?
The retreat officially ends after breakfast on 18 October, so you are welcome to book your flight any time that day. We'll take care of your airport transfer and will arrange this once we have your flight details.
If I stay in Marrakech longer, do you provide the airport transfer?
The transfer we arrange for you is on 18 October, the retreat's official end date. If you extend your stay beyond that, you will need to arrange your own airport transfer for your later departure.
How do I arrange my transfers?
Liberty will be in touch to ask for your flight details so that these can be arranged. Your transfer will bring you directly to your riad. If you arrive before check-in time, you are welcome to leave your bags and head out into Marrakech to explore independently.
What’s the weather like?
Expect daytime highs in the upper 70s to low 80s Fahrenheit (around 27 to 28°C) and overnight lows near 60°F (16°C), with mostly sunny skies, low humidity, and only a small chance of rain (Marrakech averages about 5 rainy days across the entire month). Wind tends to be light to moderate.
What should I pack?
We dress elegantly at the retreat. Jeans, leggings, sweatpants and sneakers are not allowed unless we're participating in activities that require physical movement like yoga, biking, hiking etc. Pack the dresses you never get to wear, go over the top, wear what makes you feel beautiful and special. Always have a scarf handy in case we enter sacred spaces.
I have dietary restrictions, is that ok?
Yes, absolutely. We have your dietary requirements and will accommodate them throughout the retreat.
Can I drink or order alcohol on the retreat?
The consumption of alcohol is not allowed on Eunoia retreats.
Will Sarah be there?
Yes, Sarah Casewit is your host for this retreat and will be staying at Riad 42 together with Liberty Barrons.
Do I need cash?
Yes, please use the ATM at the airport and have approximately $200/2000 MAD in cash for petty cash. Do not wait to do this in the medina of Marrakech as ATMs are sparse. If you have cash to exchange upon landing, there is an exchange office in the arrivals terminal of the airport with a decent rate. You’ll need cash for small purchases as many shops in the medina do not accept credit card payments.
Are all the meals included in this retreat?
All meals and daily traditional Moroccan tea are included except for one lunch at leisure on 16 October. Our first meal together is dinner on our first night.
Are the beds twin or queen?
Most of the riads in Morocco are traditional designs with the original architecture, limiting twin bed set ups. There will be rooms where ladies need to share a bed or have an extra bed in the room.
Is there VIP airport service in Marrakech and is it worth it?
Yes you can book VIP airport service here. The VIP team meets you at the bottom of the staircase before customs to assist you through, skipping the line. It takes about two minutes. If you don't book this, its ok. The airport has drastically improved and the wait could easily be a few minutes. If you're unlucky it can be up to 40 minutes or more.
Will we have a more detailed itinerary soon?
Yes, a detailed itinerary will be shared before the retreat.
Will we have time to shop and get a hammam experience?
Yes, we will. More details to follow on the itinerary.
Do I really need to contribute something to the retreat?
Yes. This is a retreat where Sarah holds the space for equal contribution. We have so much to share as individuals and such powerful stories, skills, experiences to share. Liberty will be in touch to confirm your discussion topic or experience of 30 minutes and slot it into the itinerary. This can be a talk, a workshop, a yoga class, a group nap, a dance session or anything else you would like to share. If it's a session that requires material, please note that you'll be required to prepare and supply these materials so keep this in mind. We can help if this is requested, but for example 12 yoga mats are not guaranteed.
