Explore Underwater Caves
Paxos is famed for its more than 40 sea caves on the island’s west side, including Trypitos, Ypapanti, and the dramatic Ortholitos. Swim Stop at Galazio Beach

Depart Lefkada & Sail to Porto Katsiki

In the afternoon, continue to Ithaca — a name steeped in mythology and legend. Known as the home of Odysseus, this mountainous island has retained its timeless charm. Sail into the narrow bay of Vathi, the island’s capital, and you’ll find a postcard harbor fringed with pastel buildings and filled with sailboats drawn to its calm and storied waters.

Spend the night docked in Vathi and take a sunset stroll through its charming streets. Be sure to explore the views from the Moni Taxiarchon monastery, perched above the harbor and offering a quiet glimpse into the island’s spiritual heritage.

Day 5 | ITHACA - KEFALONIA (Fiskardo)
Morning Hike on Southern Ithaca
Begin the day with a guided hike through the lesser-known southern portion of Ithaca — a rewarding blend of nature, history, and panoramic beauty. Starting from the bay of Vathi, follow stepped alleys that lead you up and out of the town, ascending the vegetated slopes of Merovigla Mountain. The trail quickly opens up to breathtaking views over the harbor, the Ionian Sea, and even the mainland in the distance.
As you climb higher, the path winds along old donkey and goat tracks shaded by thick woods, reaching a traditional threshing floor perched around 200 meters above sea level. The route continues south toward Paleochora, the ruins of Ithaca’s medieval capital, where the island’s layered past comes into view. Along the way, pause at Agios Yiannis Church, known for its hauntingly beautiful Byzantine frescoes, and two humble Panagia chapels nestled in nature.
The walk ends in the quaint village of Perachori, sitting at 300 meters. Known for its locally produced wine and relaxed atmosphere, it offers a quiet charm that feels worlds away from the sea below. From here, it’s an easy 2 km descent back down to Vathi.

Day 7 | KEFALONIA - Zakynthos
