Day 1 | co. kerry

Flight to Kerry or Cork
Catch a short flight from London to either Kerry Airport or Cork Airport.

Pick Up Rental Car & Drive to Kenmare
Pick up rental car from the airport and head out to Kenmare
Drive time: about 1 hour.

Check in to Sheen Falls Lodge
Set just outside Kenmare, Sheen Falls Lodge blends grand surroundings with a relaxed atmosphere. Overlooking the river and its namesake waterfall, the hotel feels calm and spacious without being overly formal. Rooms are bright and comfortable, the service is polished but friendly, and the setting makes it easy to switch between outdoor adventure and slow afternoons by the fire. Day Trip Options

Ring of Kerry
One of Ireland’s most iconic drives, the Ring of Kerry offers a full-day circular route through stunning landscapes, charming villages, and historic sites. Highlights include Muckross House, Ladies View, Sneem, Cahersiveen, and the Skellig Ring. It’s a wonderful way to experience the natural beauty and culture of County Kerry.

Dingle Peninsula
This coastal route features dramatic Atlantic scenery, archaeological sites, and the colourful town of Dingle, known for its shops, music, and seafood. We highly recommend Slea Head Drive, with highlights such as Coumeenoole Beach, Dunquin Pier, and the Gallarus Oratory.

Beara Peninsula
A hidden gem, the Beara Peninsula is less visited but incredibly scenic, with winding roads, rugged mountains, and charming villages like Allihies and Eyeries. You can also take Ireland’s only cable car to Dursey Island, weather permitting.

Day 3 | CO. kerry > co. clare

Morning Falconry Lesson
Immerse yourself in an unforgettable falconry session at Sheen Falls Lodge, where you can get up close and personal with majestic birds of prey while strolling through our beautiful estate.

An age-old country pursuit, a guided Hawk Walk takes place under instruction from an experienced falconer. Witness the unique relationship the hawks have with their falconer, while learning how to handle and fly these magnificent birds for yourself.

Drive to Ballyvaughn
Drive to Gregan’s Castle, passing through Limerick and Shannon on the way.
Drive time: about 3 hours.

Staying at Gregans Castle Hotel feels relaxed but full of character. Set on the edge of the Burren, it’s the kind of place where the pace slows down without ever feeling dull. Day 4 | co. clare

Explore the Cliffs of Moher & Aran Islands

Standing at 250m, the Cliffs of Moher are some of the most dramatic cliffs in Europe. The area is home to many different species of wildlife including birds, dolphins and the occasional whale. The cliff-side walks have stunning views towards the Aran Islands and Conemara. Doolin2Aran Ferries and Doolin Ferries both offer daily one-hour boat trips under the cliffs from Doolin pier. On your way back to the hotel, take the scenic coastal road to Ballyvaughan via Black Head.

The Aran Islands are located off the coast of the Burren and are well known for their traditional way of life – islanders still speak Gaeilge as their first tongue – as well as their cultural and literary history. There are passenger ferry services to The Aran Islands from Doolin (15km from the hotel) between March and October. This is a full day’s activity with boats returning around 5pm.

Day 5 | Co. Clare -> Dublin

Drive to Dublin
Drive to Dublin on a scenic drive through the Irish countryside.
Drive time: about 3 hours.

Check In to Wilder Townhouse
Wilder Townhouse brings a stylish, low-key energy to a stay in Dublin. Set in a row of Victorian townhouses, it feels intimate and thoughtfully put together without trying too hard. The rooms are compact but smartly designed, the lounge spaces are great for winding down with a drink, and the whole place has a calm, residential feel that’s a nice break from bigger hotels. It’s the kind of spot that makes the city feel instantly more local.
