egypt

Why should I plan your trip? Because the pyramids are the easy part. Meeting Egyptians who'll make you laugh over dinner, that's what I actually plan for.

Beyond the Pyramids

HUMOR, WARMTH, AND FIVE THOUSAND YEARS

Egypt gives most travelers exactly what they expect: the pyramids, the Nile, five thousand years of history stacked in a single view. What most itineraries miss is what makes Egypt actually unforgettable, its people. In my Egypt itineraries, I make space for travelers to connect with Egyptians and experience their brilliant, playful take on life through a storytelling dinner designed to highlight Egyptian humor and warmth. This is ancient history paired with the humanity that's kept this culture alive for five millennia.

Where to go in
EGYPT

Cairo

The Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx sit at the edge of a sprawling, chaotic, endlessly alive capital, the Egyptian Museum's ancient treasures a short drive from Islamic Cairo's centuries-old markets and mosques.

The Nile

A multi-day Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan remains one of the most iconic ways to see Egypt, temples and riverside villages passing by exactly as they have for millennia.

Luxor

Once ancient Thebes, Luxor holds the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Karnak, and more concentrated Pharaonic history than almost anywhere else on earth, best explored with a hot air balloon ride over the ruins at sunrise.

Aswan

A more relaxed, Nubian-influenced city near Egypt's southern border, home to the Aswan High Dam, the Philae Temple, and the launch point for excursions to Abu Simbel.
