Past the postcardWhy should I plan your trip? I didn't just visit India, I lived there.
I spent a year studying dance in South India and months traveling from the soaring temples of Tamil Nadu, to the backwaters of Kerala, up to the ancient ruins of Hampi in Karnataka, the bustling city of Mumbai with its white-sand beaches, and of course, deep into the north, from Jaisalmar to Agra, from Fatihpur Sikri to Dharmsala, and into the winding streets of Delhi. The tapestry of India is engrained in my love for travel.

Where to go in India
New Delhi
India’s capital is a layered tapestry of empires, where ancient monuments and Mughal gardens live alongside cutting-edge art galleries and rooftop cocktail bars. Lose yourself in the poetry of Old Delhi’s spice-laden chaos, then find stillness in Lutyens’ leafy avenues. It’s a city that demands your full attention and rewards it richly.
Rajasthan
A land of desert dreams and royal decadence, Rajasthan dazzles with opulent palaces, frescoed havelis, and cities painted in blush pink and powder blue. Jaipur. Udaipur, Jodhpur. Ride camels through golden dunes or sip chai in a centuries-old courtyard. Every corner feels like a page from an epic, told in color and light.
Kerala
With its slow-moving backwaters, swaying palms, and soulful spice markets, Kerala invites you to breathe deeply and move gently. Houseboats glide past temples and rice paddies, while Ayurvedic rituals and coastal cuisine nourish from the inside out. It’s tropical India in its most meditative form.
Tamil Nadu
Rich in Dravidian architecture and spiritual depth, Tamil Nadu pulses with temple rituals, Carnatic music, and ancient wisdom. Marvel at towering gopurams in Madurai or wander French-kissed lanes in Pondicherry. Here, the sacred and the everyday live side by side—graceful, grounded, and glowing with tradition.
